The objective of the New Hungary Development Plan is to raise the level of employment and to create conditions that support economic growth. Therefore, coordinated state and EU developments are launched. The BILK Logistics Pte. Co. has twice successfully applied for the Regional Development Operational Program, which is approved by the government within the framework of the New Hungary Development Plan. The goal of the projects was to improve the complex logistics services of the BILK Logistic Center and to increase the level of intermodality. 1st Project: The development of the comlex logistics services of the BILK Intermodal Logistics Center with 15,000 sq.m. storage area. In order to provide high level services, the warehouse was equipped with complete infrastructural solutions. As part of the project, logistical equipments, like trucks and standard racking systems, were purchased to be used in the facility. Some highlights:
During the implementation of the project we aimed to reach high level solutions in terms of avaliable materials as well as used technologies in order to fulfill the technical parameters BILK-Standard. You can read more about warehouse H, which operates at a high capacity.
2nd Project: The objective of the project was to develop the complex logistics services of the BILK Intermodal Logistics Center with 17,200 sq.m. storage area. In order to provide high level services, the warehouse was equipped with complete infrastructural solutions. As part of the project, IT and logistical equipments, like trucks and standard racking systems, were purchased to be used on the whole territory of the facility.
Some highlights:
The project facilitates the enlargement of the Budapest city-logistic and contributes to the reduction of the environmental pollution of the capital. Supposably the installation of the new warehouse will generate 60 new employment. The total headcount comes from the employees working in the storage area, in the offices and in the manipulating area. Presumably after the completion of the project the quantity of goods handled during combined transportation will encrease by 39,000 tonns annually.
