BILK at a glance The idea of the BILK Complex Program was initiated by the government in 1993 to develop the logistics centers in Hungary and to reduce the environmental pollution of Budapest. The development of the facility was only started in December 2001 after the formation of BILK Logistics Pte. Co. and BILK KOMBITERMINÁL Co. Ltd. The founders are the most significant forwarder and logistics companies of the Hungarian economy: Hungarian State Railways (MÁV), Volán Tefu Rt (now Waberer’s Holding Pte. Co.), Raaberbahn AG, MÁV Kombiterminal, and Hungarocombi Kft. Following the inauguration of the facility the development projects of the BILK Logistics Pte. Co have continued to satisfy the continuously existing demands. Currently 145 00 sqm storage area operates at almost 100 % of its capacity.
BILK Logistics Center is a 100 ha wide area which can be found in the south of Budapest in the proximity of major destinations and transit routes with its own access road to Beltway M0 and to the railroad connecting Budapest and Kelebia. Besides its outstanding location to railroad and vehicular access, the BILK can be easily reached from the water and air within 15 km (Csepel Freeport, Budapest Airport) as well as from downtown Budapest.
